- Water is available from a hand pump at this site. Although Alberta Parks strives to maintain water quality, we recommend that you bring your own drinking water.
Store all food and scented items in a hard-sided vehicle or storage locker if provided. Leaving scented items unattended, even for a few minutes, puts visitors and wildlife at risk..
This small provincial recreation area along the western shore of Cold Lake has a campground with 15 and 30 amp powered sites. Cold Lake is a large lake on Alberta’s eastern border, and a popular spot for lake activities. Bird watchers will find this a great location for songbirds such as the wood warbler, flycatcher and thrush in the treetops, as well as waterfowl along the shoreline.
